Do Not Eat

Yummm... a popsicle?  No.  A soapsicle!!  These awesome peppermint soapsicles were created by loveleesoaps and is the same size as a regular popsicle - complete with the popsicle sticks!  She also creates these in other "flavors" and has other cute soaps resembling other foods.  

This is my second post in a row featuring a food-like item - apparently I have food on my mind - haha!

Okay this doesn't have anything to do with handmade, but I thought this was cute and wanted to share!  I think it is from Real Simple - let's try it out and we'll post points in January!

When you receive holiday cards give/or take away points - award as many points as possible

For example : if your friend sends you a card with an inside joke (+2) that makes annoying music (-4) but was oversized (+5) you get 3 points.

GAIN POINTS
0.5 - dentist,insurance agent, hairdresser, dry cleaner, mailman
0.5 - your own mother
1.0 - another relative
0.5 - friend via e-mail
1.0 - your boss
1.0 - friend you see at least once a week
3.0 - above, with a reference to an inside joke
2.0 - long-distance friend, devoid of any personal message
5.0 - above, with a personal message of at least 3 lines
5.0 - anyone who includes a handwritten personal note of more than five sentences
10.0 - long-lost friend who hasn't been heard from in 20 years - which for me means i haven't heard from them since i was 4

LOSE POINTS
-1.0 - card & envelope are same piece of paper
-2.0 - signature is imprinted rather than handwritten
-3.0 - photo is of a helpless pet in a holiday costume
-4.0 - your name is spelled incorrectly
-4.0 - card plays annoying music that you can't turn off
-5.0 - highly religious card celebrates faith other than your own
-6.0 - card is the same one you received last year
-7.0 - return-address label was provided by charity to which sender may not have actually contributed
-8.0 - family newsletter contains words such as "gallbladder" " spleen""gout"
-10.0 - family newsletter is from ex who is (not so) subtly gloating over a recent wedding and cushy new job
-20.0 - long-lost friend who hasn't been heard from in 20+ years asks for money or a place to live

BONUS POINTS
0.5 - gilded envelope
1.0 - handwritten return address
2.0 - card in which all family members appear to have signed thier own names
2.0 - newsletter or family photo in card
3.0 - card with moving parts
